THE FOOD-LOVER’S HIT-LIST: 3 HOT NEW RESTAURANT OPENINGS
Wednesday,16 January 2019

A classic choice for New Year’s Eve festivities in Adelaide has always been to watch the fireworks along the riverbank in Elder Park. The city comes alive with music, dancing and fireworks displays from 6pm onwards but like many New Year’s Eve events, you will have to battle the crowds and stand in long queues to buy your food and drink for the night. Bistro Blackwood has curated a special New Year’s Eve menu for the night, so why not book a table and enjoy a fine meal before heading over to Elder Park for the fireworks and dancing?

Enjoy a 3-course set menu of modern Australian cuisine for $95 per person before heading out to enjoy the city. There will be two sittings – one at 6-6.15pm and another at 8.30-8.45pm, both conveniently timed well before the fireworks displays at 9pm and midnight.

The set menu features local ingredients such as South Australian veal, Murray cod and milk-fed pork from the Dairyman.

To start, you are invited to enjoy starters and entrees such as baba ganoush, Murray cod ceviche and vitello tonnato.

To follow, Bistro Blackwood is indulging us in fire-pit lamb with biodynamic vegetables, harrisa & carrot tagine. To finish, a classic pavlova with fresh passionfruit and cream.

Being only a 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk from Elder Park, Bistro Blackwood’s New Year’s Eve dinner would be the perfect option for the night. Bookings are necessary and can be made online via the Bistro Blackwood site https://bistroblackwood.com.au/reservations/ or by calling directly on (08) 8227 0344.
